Giveaway Time!

Hola amigos!  It's Cinco de Mayo, and I'm feelin' feisty....so let's have a giveaway!!!  I am reminded today of Spanish class waaay back in the day with Mrs. Valenta and Mrs. Keating (Hey Molly!  Tell your mom hi!) and what fun we had, learning that beautiful language.  I'm sure we were quite amusing to our teachers, confusing when to use "el" and when to use "la," and awkwardly rolling our "rrrrrrzzzzz".  Ha!  The name I adopted in Spanish class was "Yolanda."  Lovin' Man loves to joke around and calls me that on occasion.  He's so funny.  Not.

Soooo.....on to the giveaway.....one lucky winner will receive everything pictured here:  a Dreaming Bear tote bag, 3 Dreaming Bear postcards, 2 packages of bath salts, a pinwheel pen, a "rocket girl" notebook, and a sweet necklace with a quote about family on the back.  Sweet!!!

You can enter this giveaway by leaving me a comment on this post, telling me what your name would be if you were back in Spanish class!!!  The winner will be drawn randomly on Sunday evening!  Woo hoo!
Be back again soon!  Have a great day!

Back in "the day"...my name in Spanish class was Catalina. Yes...like the salad dressing!! My son is now taking Spanish in high school, so it is fun to converse with him (within both of our limited capabilities, of course!). Hola!

I will be sure to tell my mom that you say "hi" when I see her on Saturday! It's funny that you mention her Spanish classes, because I remember when I took them in high school worrying what I was supposed to call her during class. She looked at me and said "mom, what else?!" So then my whole class took to calling her mom! My name in my Spanish classes was Claudia. Kinda pretty, don't ya think?

Happy Cinco de Mayo, Yolanda!

Adios!

Back in the day, can't believe I can remember that far back, my Spanish name was Juanita. It sounded so exotic back then. I am afraid that my Spanish name might be all that I remember from class. Happy Mother's Day to all my fellow moms! The world wouldn't work with out you!!

In the spirit of Cinco de Mayo if I went back to spanish class I'd rename myself Vinetta. If I was able to get there by time travel, I would take my daughter and her name would be Sarita. I think I want some chips and salsa now...

Happy 5th of May to you all, too. I do not know my Spanish name but am confident that I could not pronounce it correctly if I did (lol). Have a great evening, and thanks for sharing some 'gifts' for us to win.....that is sure FUN.

I never took Spanish, but I like to think my name would be Sobreviviente. Though I have no idea how to say it, it means Survivor, so I think it's appropriate!

We used our own names in class. There was no translation for Mallory.

I never took Spanish in high school, but I think Margarita would be a good name for me in class.

I was so jealous of the kids who got to go Spain in our junior year. Dang it!

Fab giveaway! I took French in High School, but if I get to choose a Spanish name then I'm going for Carmelita :D

Since I went to high school "bc"--before children, calculators and computers, the language choices were English, French and Latin. In Spanish I would be a Marie or a Mariella, pronounced with a "y" where there is none! Dory, I love your shop and glad you are in Marion, IA. You are wonderfully talented and crazy and give me such a boost every time I enter your store. I am so glad that you have designed fabric, as fabric is my choice medium.
Love you sweetie, and have a great Mother's Day.
